Internet Mkg for Small Business

I'm new at internet marketing but still know how to do set up website and have made a little of bit of money promoting clickbank products. But a friend has a small carpet cleaning business and I was wondering how I could help get online leads for him, any suggestions?

    Check out the offline marketing section of this forum -- that's what it's dedicated to.

    There's a ton of ways, but here's how you start: Make sure your buddy has a nice website with a lead capture form on it, get a nice Google Places page for the business, and do SEO to get those ranked for your targeted keywords IN your local area.

    You can also consider starting an AdWords account. If you go this route, start 2 campaigns. One with geographic targeting to your local area, with generic keywords... and another targeted to the whole country, with keywords that include your location.

    There's plenty to get you started.

      As mentioned above:

      I think that your best bet would be a lead capture page.

      A lead capture page could simply be a one page website that explains what service you are offering and provides a telephone number and contact form.

      I would recommend checking out themeforest for a landing page.

      You could use something like:

      Marketing - Lift Off - Lead Capture Page - ThemeForest

      Just change the picture of a hot air ballon to a vacuum cleaner :p

      To get people onto the website, I'd get yourself listed on Google Places and then buy some Adwords advertising to attract potential customers in your area.

    I would suggest PPC, like adwords. This will provide immediate leads.

    Hopefully he has a website, so start doing basic SEO for his main keywords. If not get him a website.

    Create a Google Place Page, get it ranked, and hook it up to the website. Also put a coupon on there.

    Possibly Craigslist. Post an ad once a week, and drive traffic to the site or call a number.

    Check out some of the bigger directory sites. Yelp, Angieslist. Get a profile on there. These will also help rank the Google Place Page.

    I'd register a domain for him ... [city]carpetcleaning.com, build a simple Wordpress site on it and get it ranked in Google for the term City Carpet Cleaning. Set up a Google Places for him also. I just bought a really good WSO on this and haven't finished it yet, but so far, the info is great. No affiliation with it, just a product that I just bought myself that is pretty solid info.
