HELP!

Hey everyone,

My names Sean im 19 years old and recently got kicked out of home. I am broke, but determined.

Nothing is going to stop me from being successful, I want this, i want my father to be proud of me, and proud of the successful person that i will become.

I have no idea where to start, i have telesales experience so cold calling is no issue for me, i just do not know what will be best for me to sell, websites, mobile websites, seo services.

Do people find more success closing over the phone or by setting appointments?

I would greatly appreciate any advice you could give me. I am young but please dont confuse me for some lazy teenager, i want to succeed more than anything and i want to take action NOW...Just looking for some guidance on what will be best for me to get started in?

    Where are you based Sean? If near London UK I have just started in the marketing to offline business area. Wish you good luck and impressed by your words. I myself started a bit later in the game. Ahhhh mainly because when I was your age the internet was still mainly a military unit, mobile phones were just becoming more common in the market place and I was dancing my head off all night in a field to acid house music. Now 43. Peace

    A lot of people's main problem is not being able to cold call. If you don't mind cold calling and you are good at it I am sure you will be fine. PM so I can give you some info if you would like.

    Sean... If you find sales hard, there are also a ton of people here who will offer you money for your "appointment setting" services. If you have experience, and feel confident that you can do it!

    I see people post their skills all the time, but they dont get responses like you are... Just goes to show, "phone people" are in demand.

    A person can easily start a telemarketing service with ZERO internet skills.

      I would suggest posting in the Warriors for Hire Section on this forum and somehow tie your company in your Sig. Just follow the rules they are enforcing Sig link abuse in the main forum.

        Hi, my guys are great at cold calling its what they do all day long.
        Not sure what your offer is for, appt setting or trying to close deals over the phone.
        We usually work on a per hour basis with a guaranteed number of solid appts set in a 20 hour time frame.

        Thanks for the advice I posted in the Warriors for Hire Section last Sunday.
        Maybe it was the wrong day to post being july 4 th weekend.
        Got a few responses,but nothing to write home about.
        And for $20 it was on the 2nd page the next day(its now buried on the bottom of the 3rd page).Was pretty surprised as cold calling and appt. setting is for sure not for the thin skinned and figured with a guaranteed number of solid appts set and a low hourly price there would be more interest on here.

      You dont need help... You just need to stick a link in your sig that says you are a pro with 20 years cubicle experience, and that you are taking on appointment setting clients.

      Then go out in the forum areas where people might be interested in your service, and share your knowledge...if they respect your knowledge that you lay down, and if they need an appointment setter...they will click your link and ask you to set their appointments.

      Dont spam, but offer valuable contributions and the natural result is that people will be interested to know more about your service, once they respect your knowledge, and know how much you care.

      That simple.

      There are other ways, but , to avoid the risk of writing a book here, that way will work.

      You could earn someones respect that much within the next 24 hours... So go for it! Lets see what you got. You can pull it off... Go cowboy!

    If you are good at cold calling... I have more work than you can handle.
    I would supply all the leads. You would get $50 per deal.

    All the leads would be targeted. Resulting in a high close rate.

    Thankyou all for your kind replies, i decided to go with a web design service, i just completed my script today and i think it sounds great, now it on to creating my web design so when they ask to see it i have something to show them...I also got hired from an interview i attended, i am now a business development manager for Cisco Systems, things are falling into place for me now its time to work hard while im at a young age

    Marketeers, good luck with the script!!! Make sure to take massive action. Call 100 people, go see 100 local business owners, go to 10 meetings, or email 100 business owners this week or else i'll take you as a "lazy" teenager.

    I also started my first business when i was 19-20 years old and ever since I was always my own boss. I still remember it like it was yesterday how everyone laughed at me when I said I was going to start my own business. The same people who use to laugh at me come to me for advices now. I use to be so angry and sad that even my best friends and my parents didn't believe in me... but if i look back, i can't blame them because I was just a lil thug who dropped out of high school with a .8 gpa.

    Anyways, take advantage of being young because everyone will jump to teach someone so young. But don't limit yourself to your age because you're capable of doing anything and everything an old head can. =)

      Thankyou for your reply Chris, I have been watching your youtube videos for the past couple of days and have learnt soo much. I am so determined and i have made action, i have been designing my website and everything is in place i have my lists of people to call and i have my script ready cant wait to get started and share my success because i am 100% certain i will succeed.
