So i just got a job as a Business Development Manger...

Hey guys some of you regular readers might have seen my post just the other day about my current situation...

Well thankfully this now a first step in the right direction. Just looking for some guidance.

Working for a company dealing with IT Network System, mainly Cisco. My main duties include:

 Telephone calling to prospect for new customers and to develop and maintain
customer relationships;
 Email correspondence with customers;
 Appointments with customers at their offices/premises ;
 Maintenance of our Insightly Customer Relationship Management system to record and
plan for customer interactions

I dont start until monday next week, but would love to get organised now so I will be ready to hit it hard next Monday.

What would you guys find would be the best way to cold call companies to hopefully turn into potential clients?

Any script ideas?

This will just be a little brain storming sesh, hope to hear some ideas guys, dont worry if you think it sounds stupid just throw it out there no one cares it will be great to get people involved and hear your ideas...
