Please, a bit of a review if you dont mind...

I've worked for many clients doing online and offline marketing and finally realized I better market my own biz.

Can anyone give me a bit of comments on my newest biz site? I am most interested in the video (hired voice over actress and mixed myself for now). The rest is from testing adwords concepts and I personally would not react to it but I never doubt testing results anymore. It is a work in progress, but what isnt?

Thanks.... Local Business Marketing Services That Get Results!

I like it overall but I think it needs some color to POP it a bit more. Red bold header and use of brighter buttons.

What do you want me to do when I get there? I think your phone number should be at the top and bold do you want me to call you? Or email you? You need a simple contact form as well or at a minimum make it easy for me to email you by making your email an active link.

    My 2 Cents,
    Fred

Video is excellent but could possibibly be a bit shorter ... cut to the point earlier.

Not fond of the headline, what about something like this:
Consumers In Your City Are Using The Internet Right Now To Find Your Products and Services. Are You There To Be Found?

John...overall I like some of the elements of your site, services offered, video, etc...but like someone has already mentioned, you do not have a call to action! What is it exactly that you want me, as a visitor to do? and how would I do it? You need to make it easy for someone to contact you and find out more about your services. Also, you need to provide some kind of enticement "up front" for them to want to contact you and enlist your expertise. Anyway, I could go on, but go and check out Derek Halpern's blog Social Triggers. He's the marketing "guru" at Thesis Themes and he dissects websites online and live. Check out some of his posts where he tells even pro bloggers how they could do better!

TBH, I thought it was boring. The voice is very monotone and slow. Autoplay the video.

Follow-up John...just now saw that you are using a .info domain name...come up with something different or a play on your words, you must get a .com if you are trying to brand this or become a real business! Just the way it is...been there done that!

I would lead with just one product/service and use a sales letter to sell it and collect emails.

If you want to offer all of those things, create a separate sales page for each one, but I would choose one service as your front-end.

At the very least, I would concentrate on starting one sales funnel and making sure it works.

In other words, I would give a ton of value at a decent price for one service to obtain customers and then offer the other services later.

nthmarketing > Full agree about the call to action being missing. Sometimes I need to smack myself in the forehead! Doh! About the headline colors, its def. s/g to test.

zoro > I may do a remix on it. It was sort of a get it up and drive traffic sort of thing.
Im going to be doing reviews of websites for local business owners and sending them there afterwards. Headline is also something to test for sure.

jodib > Thanks will consider the email change for sure. Will PM you re sig.

webgladiator > You know it's so weird but I know how many people I have said the same thing to and I do it myself. That site is in a very preliminary stage and is part of a much larger sales funnel but I do need a solid call to action. I'm reading that blog thru its fantastic. Re the .com issue, this is something I am def. testing. I've actually had more luck with .info sites because I can be stronger with the keywords and the .info sort of adds a no-sales-pressure element to the whole thing. In fact we tested it with one of my clients and he has all but got rid of the .com side. Can u elaborate more on your experiences with that?

Mike Grant > thanks for critique. I'm going to test the autoplay because I've not had luck with that before.

ZachWaldman > Thanks for the suggestions. The site is the later stage of a sales funnel that is just a place to send business owners I have had contact with. It's purpose may change and I would certainly consider what you said above as I am sure one service will stand out in time.

I've had others look at the video and tell me it is focusing too much on the problem and not enough on the solution. I think my next step is to get the call to action clearly displayed and start to narrow down services. It is one of those ready, fire, aim moments I am learning is essential in IM so THANKS SO MUCH for all the feedback so far.

The weird part about this new aspect of my business is I am coming into it with much more marketing knowledge and goals that I gleened from working for some really successful products/businesses. It is mostly to put some of my family and friends to work as they are constantly asking me "How can I make some money online?" Anyway, thanks again for the feedback and keep it coming.

I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.
