I need some ideas on website leasing to local business owners in Australia. Does anyone have any basic leasing agreements. Thanks. Pat Gr8Bizz

I have recently leased two sites, and am working on others. I dont have an agreement, I just asked for payment quarterly in advance. i.e. They pay for 3 months, up front. I will offer renewal 2 weeks before end of month three and if they want to renew, it will be another 3 months up front BEFORE the 3rd month is up or I will offer the sites to someone else.

What you have to remember is that they are renting a goldmine from you, as long as they keep paying they can keep benefitting from the leads.

Three months in advance is nice. We however favor payment in advance, once a month via auto deduction via PayPal. No invoices, no chasing them. They don't want the service they don't pay. We don't like them, we don't bill them and we're done.

      I prefer this.

I'm starting a new business here in France. I offer Webdesign and SEO however I'm getting more and more incliend towards the leasing game plan. I'm going to start contacting businesses soon and I will definitely go with a recurring monthly paypal payment plan.

I think leasing works better for everyone. SEO is a pain because in most instances the client site is crap and doesn't convert so you never really generate the results the client really wants. Leads. Create a site FOR the client, SEO it, manage it, maybe some PPC, keep ownership of it and generate leads. The client won't care, leads is all they really want.

Truth be told, most businesses would really be happy to be rid of website worries and just get leads.

If you are good at generating leads for your clients you'll never be out of work!
