For those who offer QR CODES quick question...

hi everyone, if you offer QrCodes to a car dealership for example, you need to have them printed.. what do you use? do you print them yourself or get them printed somewhere else and if you do where? I was wondering because i was looking into buying a separate printer for that but maybe it's worth it getting them printed online. I found a couple of sites that i can get them printed as decals but you get a sheet and have to bee the same image......

you can print your own stickers on most modern printers and it is just a matter of sourcing the right paper.

Just do a search "printing stickers inkjet" in your local area.

I have an inkjet printer with some tanks on the side that makes printing a lot cheaper.

I have a dealer who prints off an A4 sheet to stick in the car window, he now adds the QR code on the info sheet.

The problem with QR codes is you aren't normally getting a whole lot of the same sticker printed. You want lots of stickers with unique qr codes. As soon as you are talking about small quantity printing like this you are best off just doing it yourself.

Thank you guys... @Quentin I was looking into just printing them myself since pretty much you need one of each not a whole sheet... is it worth it tho with the price of ink? do you use any specific software to adjust them to the sticker sheets you buy? sorry for the dumb questions but this is one thing i keep putting off and i need to get the answer for it and be ready since i will be talking to a couple of car dealerships soon..

I buy a 4 sheets and then just cut them down.

In most of the car yards we deal with they print their own sheets for the cars so we just provide the qrcode.

Because we build the webpage doe the car we also do the QR Code at the same time.

The platform I use allows me to print it directly, download it, email it, put it on a website, or send it direct to Facebook. If I am printing at home I use a template to load all the different qr codes I need and then print them all at the same time. I also have gone to the local drugstore to print out codes. Once you download to your memory stick, flash drive, or cd just print them like regular pictures. You can get 4x6 prints glossy or satin(both scan great) for as little as 15 cents. You can get enough different qr codes on a single print to get your cost down to 1-2 cents each. You can also add extra text, borders, and other special effects very quick and easy. I also do a lot of table tent flyers for restaurants like the attachment below using the full 4x6 and usually there is a drugstore closer than going back to the office so I can get them back to my client the same day. This way I can do a lot of them quick and cheap without going to a printer.

Look at stickerscan dot com for your qr code decals and stickers. They even have smaller business card stickers 24 on a sheet for free with a 99 cent shipping and handling fee
