Apps for OFFLINE businesses

Is anyone in here selling smart phone apps for offline businesses?

If so, what prices are you selling them for?

What are you paying to outsource them?

Yup, I have mentioned that apps are doing well for me right now.

I would say a good medium for creating a app should be $500 plus a monthly retainer fee. You can include the fee in your monthly services.

I use a simple point and click online app builder that was made for small business in mind.

PM me if you want the link.

            No prob.

            Some great selling points are:

            *In app push notifications
These work like SMS text messages BUT with out the fees! Users can send unlimited in app messages to the app users. So, daily deals, events, etc. can be sent out.

            QR Code Coupons
Users scan qr codes that allows "check ins" to business with the option to share via twitter & facebook. If a user can scan and receive a deal, they can also share the deal they got via FB & twitter.

Just some examples, there are more like online reservations, online ordering etc.

            Good luck.

      Hi Jerry,

Can you tell me, is the AppBotic monthly pricing structure per app or can you develop multiple apps on the one account?

      Cheers

It's per client/app. I'm sure you would have to create a new account for each business app.

I've hinted at it to some businesses. I don't think all would benefit from a mobile app though. Places that already have a kind of big following could benefit from it, but a place that has low to medium following might just be wasting time in my opinion.

Depending on the complexity of the app, I would say probably anywhere from $1000-$35,000 for an app, plus a monthly maintenance fee.

If the business doesn't have a large enough following for a mobile app, I would suggest doing mobile in app advertising as a stronger alternative. In app advertising is already projected to be the new wave of advertising in the next year or two, so you might as well.

True BUT you can also increase a following by offering a flyer with a QR code to download the app. It should be included with each purchase. It could be the size of a coupon, cutting printing costs.

Kind of like an email opt in.

Thanks for sharing this Jerry! Mobile websites is definately something many small local businesses such as restaurants will not have! So this is something to look into. I'll have to look around the AppBottic site to learn more about the development and how it works and how companies to make clever use of it etc. But looks good thus far. Cheers again!

Oh if you have any insider tips, feel free to throw them into a PM my way
