Norena from Norway here. First of all, I'm posting this here instead of in the JV section as I feel there are more synergies with offline marketing people, like yourselves.
I was going to start an offline consulting business myself a while back but decided that it wasn't my 'cup of tea' as I'd rather focus on my IT company.
So I was wondering if you have thought of offering software app development to your clients and prospects? It could be quite complimentary to have this in your portfolio.
My biz partner and I have a US registered boutique IT firm, Vestige Systems LLC, with a focus on software application development for smart phones, iPad and the web. In addition to innovative IT solutions, we also offer a range of mobile solutions (voice and messaging) for enterprises such as mobile banking, sales force automation, IT network management and mobile marketing. And we can do .mobi sites as well, of course.
We have a full development team in Philippines and Vietnam. My biz partner, who lives in Singapore, is in charge of all the tech stuff and he's also great at brainstorming with the clients and figuring out what they want if they don't have a clear idea themselves.
We're looking for self-starting business development partners all over the world to help prospect new business for us.
We pay pretty hefty commissions (will discuss more in detail in private) so will definitely be worth your time as these are usually high value deals and you just need to bring us the prospects and we'll do the work involved in closing the deal.
No tech knowledge needed, although it's, of course, beneficial if you have a passion for technology but having great people skills and being able to make contacts, build relationships and network is more important.
