$3,300 in 4 Days!

Just wanted to share something with you folks. Has NADA to do with IM. It's one of my "Ad Projects".

UNemployment in my area is OVER 20% (Don't believe the PoppyRot the Media spews forth!) MANY people are HURTING Financially and HURTING BAD!

A old buddy asked me if I had a way for him to make some "Quick Bux" as he hasn't sold a house or got a Listing in months....and was very late on his mortgage.

So...since I knew he had some "Sales" ability selling houses...I told him I'd meet him for coffee the next morning.

Well....he lives in a town of about 3,500 pop and there's 2 Pizza Delivery places in town. So...we meet for coffee and I show him some of the "Pizza Box Flyers" I've done in other towns.

I explain the program to him and tell him to "Follow Me"!...and we walked across the street to the Pizza place...walk in (9:30am)...ask to see the owner. Owner comes over...I show him what I've done at other Pizza Places and tell him WE'D like to do one for him...totally FREE of charge.

Owner looks at my other Flyers and says; "Let's Do It"!

I ask owner if he knew Names of some of his "Regulars" or...Names of some of his Suppliers (Insurance Agent, Pest Control, Plumber, electrician etc)

He gives me a List of over 30 Names. I thank him and go across the street to the "Computer Service" bix...walk in....show owner sample of what I'm doing (His Ad on Pizza Box Flyers)....Ka-Ching!

Go next door to an Auto Repair Shop....show owners....Ka-Ching!

Got 5 sales (had my buddy do the next 3...he missed a few...not knowing YET how to "Assume The Sale") Next 3 days he gets 7 more sales to fill the Flyer....$3,300 Gross!

Was HE a "Happy Camper"? You betcher boots!

He's now off and running to other towns with a simple idea that HELPS local businesses.

Thanks for reading. I hope this gave "inspiration" to someone.

    What do you tell the advertisers about how long or how many pizza box-top flyers they'll get for their investment?

    How many flyers do you print? At some point you would spend all your revenue on printing color flyers.

    What's the benefit to the pizza shop?

    Most of the pizza places in my area already have riders on their pizza boxes, and it's a sole purpose ad specifically for them to get repeat orders... Why would they clutter up their pizza box top and offer ad space to a bunch of other people?

    Do you split the revenue with them or something?

    This is actually a really good idea. Obviously wouldn't work for big chains, but there's definitely a market there for mom & pop type pizza places. - Nice idea. I too would like to know a little more about the sales process w/ the other businesses and what you would say to the pizza place IF they asked what's in it for them.

      This can work for the big chains franchises as the local Pizza Hut has attached flyers for a mom&pop gym on their boxes.

      Wowsers! that's a good idea. Just gotta find a clean pizza box, some owners may not be willing to put ads on their boxes. But, look at Papa John's, Dominos, Pizza Hut, every pizza you get from them has their own ads taped to the box!

    What's in it for them is you printing the flyers with their coupons or even an ad revenue split. Say 50-50, get enough ads and it is a win for all. I can see a lot of ways to play this though I am also curious how the OP plays it. Basically what has worked for him.

    I like the idea so I do a Google search on ads pizza box. Half the ad is for the pizza place, the other half is for other businesses. I suppose you make enough flyers that it is still profitable. If you went to Staples, premium pricing, $500 would give 1000 color flyers. With $3300 gross, you still take home ~$2800--sweet for 4 days. But I too am interested any more details midasman09 would like to give.

      Yes, if you like to throw your money away. Ordering online is the way to go. One that I checked charges $331 for 5,000 fliers, 48 hour turn-around, full color, both sides.

      From what I have read on other threads (some by Don, some by others), there is no revenue split. You provide the pizza place with free fliers, give them about a third of the front side and the rest is yours to profit from.

      Here's what I would do:

      Give 200 fliers to each advertiser for them to distribute among their own customers. That way, not only the pizza place customers get great offers, so will the advertisers customers as well (since they may NOT frequent that particular pizza place).

      P.s. Since I just finished reading John Durhams' Christmas thread, I would suggest you hire a warrior to do your flier design if you do not have the time/capability/software to do it yourself.

    It may be good to consider using CPA/Clickbank ads on the flyers related to pizza or something people who buy pizza often would enjoy like movies or games.

    Can you tell a company name. Its a great idea. Also you can upsell later on facebook or mobilesite.
