I'm trolling the forums constantly on the lookout for the answer to all of my offline needs. What can I do to get my offline and national SEO business running at full capacity (whatever that means)? The various medias to exploit, setting up the business, outsourcing, billing, making the sale.... So, I am interested in seeing what it is that everyone else is most focused on. What is the magic button, the one last thing you need, to finally get going?

I feel like I have amassed copious amounts of knowledge regarding the offline industry and am just now conjuring up the balls to do something.

What is the final piece you are looking for or what do you want to know more about before you actually get started?

Asking for a "magic button" is kind of a loaded question... in all honesty, there isn't one. If this stuff was easy, everybody would be doing it! (Although, sometimes with SEO it feels like everybody IS trying to do it!)

The biggest thing to focus on is client acquisition. If you aren't getting new clients you aren't growing your business-- no matter how much time you spend learning SEO.

If you are new to offline marketing, I would recommend focusing on mobile marketing because it is a much hotter market. My experience from SEO, which I now do very little of, is that a lot of companies have been burned in the past and they are hesitant to try somebody new.

With mobile marketing on the other hand, it is such a hot topic right now and it is like the Wild West-- there are so many untapped opportunities. Mobile website creation, QR Codes, and text message marketing are really where the money is right now.

If you are set on doing SEO services, I would look into some services that use SEO skills, but aren't just for ranking websites. Reputation Management would be one of these things to look into.
