How to hire 100% commission reps in other market?

Hey guys,

I wanted to run something past you - I want to market a particular service to another area besides where I live in, and want to get someone to go out and do the selling for me - and, I want to split the proceeds 50/50%. Now, my half wouldn't be 50% profit, as it would cost me to do the work, but, if I was 3,000 miles away, how could I find someone qualified enough to do the selling for me, and then entice them?

    How To Find Them:
    Put an ad in Craigslist in that city. I hire almost all of my reps from Craigslist.

    How To Entice Them:
    Put yourself in the shoes of a sales rep. They are looking for a sales position that will make them a lot of money. Things they look for ...
    • Highly desired product
    • Proof that it's sellable
    • Sales scripts and sales tools
    • A mentor that can help them get started and create successes as quickly as possible, especially if they're on 100% comm.
    • High comm %
    • Leads!! if at all possible.
    If you have a "proven" sales approach and can show them how they'll make money realistically you've increased your odds dramatically.

    Sales people just want to make money, and they don't want to kill themselves to do it. The easier the product is to sell, the happier they are. Leads are a huge bonus!

      Hey Bradley,

      Can you define "leads" on this?

      Let's say James is from NY and want to sell his services to Detroit, MI area. He buys a list of (related) businesses in Detroit. Are these leads? So a rep can go and phone to those people and try to sell them James services.

        No, those aren't leads. That's just a list of names that require being "cold-called".

        Leads are people who have said they have an interest in what you're selling. A reply card, a telemarketer calling them and the owner saying they have an interest, a web lead from a business requesting information. These are leads.
