Ranking over top of Google Places

Hi Guys

Something just dawned on me

I have been building and ranking a local site for solicitors in the UK, its now at number one and overtop of Google Places using Firefox

I just went to Internet Explorer and its below Google Places, even very very optimised sites are below Google Places on Internet Explorer

I take it this the case with pretty much everything now? I still have 46% of people use IE on my affiliate sites so no point doing it, just to reply on firefox traffic

If it is, I will leave that strategy and progress to offering SEO services in the UK then

Thanks all

Rob

Afraid not, apart from semi giving up on that strategy

Doing one more test in a niche and city that has traffic then I will see what occurs

I do have one site that gets traffic 3-10 visitors a day still even though its below google places, but not really something i want to base a business around

    Hey mate,

Are you sure that in firefox you are actually above google places?
What I mean by this is that if you are constantly clicking your own link in firefox your browser remembers it and stores it as a favourite at the top of SERPS. Try clearing your internet history and cache and you may soon see you are not actually above google places like you thought.

Many congrats on having a top website. I suggest that you should share your ideas on how you got your website ranked first.
