OFFLINE MARKETING

It would be cool to have all the SMS, QR Code, mobile marketing, mobile web design in one area separate from the offline. I don't want to lose all the great topics here, so if that's an issue-forget it. But if it's possible then I would appreciate it !

What do you guys think ?

I 2nd that one...as a Mobile Section would be a Huge Asset even if placed
under the OFFLINE Section...

As much as I hate being on the receiving end of mobile marketing, we can't deny the success of it, and it doesn't really fit into the other sections... So, eventually, it does seem inevitable to have a dedicated section

That's a great idea. It seems it's just being thrown in the offline section but it really is its own skill, just like SEO, PPC, copy writing etc..

Yes I agree with everyone here! Lets face it "mobile" is not a fad but a reality, it's here to stay.

Just look at the number of mobile related WSO products that are presented here on this forum!

So in my view we do need a "Mobile section on the forum"

If you build it they will come.

Basically, this is like when the offline forum was first created, here. Think it's only been around a year? Anyway it was sometime in 2010 that this part of the forum was created.

Generally, I think the way these things work is that people ask for it and if enough people really want it, then they will consider it, but it won't necessarily happen.

I think the best bet is if you really want it, submit a help desk ticket and ask how this kind of thing can be approved or at least considered.

That or the mod active in this part of the forum can come in here and let people know how it can happen.

I definitely agree with what others have said. I believe a mobile section would be extremely valuable to us wanting to focus on it. Having that info in one centralized location could save everyone a lot of time.

I like the idea of a Mobile section. But, I disagree with the idea of making a bunch of tickets for the admins about this. That would just piss them off and make them not want to do it. And, they would have to clean up the mess of deleting a bunch of tickets. One ticket should be enough, as long as the ticket directs them to this thread.
