Mobile Site Design w/QR Code I have Questions

Hello,

This is my second post I am new to posting on these forums but not new to reading them. I have been doing a ton of research with the search button everything I can find on QR codes that have been posted.

I want to start a mobile web design company in my local area. There are a few "professional" designers that will charge you an incredible amount to have one built. So I want to throw my hat into the ring and offer mobile web service with QR codes.I am not so much worried about the selling as I have done door to door cable sales for a long time. I am more worried about the design. I have limited knowledge of HTML and just know the basics.

I have a few questions for all of your warriors.

1. Whats the best way to go about the design of these mobile sites I was looking at a few posts here on people offering packages and was wondering if thats the best route to go.

The ones I looked at were the Chuck Norris creator and the Mobile design creator I tried posting links but I don't have enough posts.

2. How/where can I find a printer to print say an 8x12 sign with the QR code on it. I am worried about the quality as reading a few posts on here people have said they don't always read. Is that an issue with signs?

3. What other advice do you all have for me. I am strong believer that success breeds success and I love these forums.

Warrior Ben is a good handle to search against, right here in the Offline Marketing forum!

I don't recall exactly how I ended up with a Mobile Site Template from Warrior Ben, but I'll bet it was a WSO... I've been on a buying spree in the past 2 weeks.

Another option that works, and may not be exactly what you are looking for... is a WP Theme that includes the Local site, Mobile site, and Social site (facebook) - another purchase recently picked up here as a WSO.

In addition to the Mobile Site template, Warrior Ben posted a method to make very printable 1"x1" QR Codes from just about any printer (I suspect). It works great on my HP 1022 and 3600 printers. The code scans quickly every time now.. and I was having issues previously, so I know that Warrior Ben's methods work...

Adam, I would highly recommend the free template that I provide as a good starting point for a mobile site. It is primarily focused as a mobile ID, but can be easily formatted for a business.

Some things to add that folks always like are: Links to Facebook & Twitter so people can "Like" and "Follow" directly from the mobile site. You can also link to Yelp reviews about the business (if they have good reviews!) so consumers can get reviews that will help them decide to go into the business.

When making a mobile site, don't make it too data or picture heavy-- it needs to load quick and you only want to give the pertinent information. If somebody really wants to dig in deep and learn more about a business, they will probably do it from home at their computer anyway. Mobile is a way to give quick information which is what people are looking for when they are on their mobile phone.
