How to find newly registered businesses in Australia?

Hi guys,

Simple question but not so simple answer it seems.

How can I go and find newly registered businesses or companies that I can then cold call and offer my products to?

I had a look but it doesn't seem that there is any such functionality with the ABN look up website, so I am a little stuck for ideas?

I could try my local newspaper and see if they have a section for new businesses in town? Otherwise, any other tips?

    In the U.S. new business owners go to the 'city hall" to register their business... perhaps the city councils in Australia Directory of government and business associations
    has contact information for government offices. I would contact a couple 'business' related offices and ask if they can lead you in the right direction.
