Building Websites for customers

I'm wondering what everyone uses for new websites for customers? Are you using a program or outsourcing? If you outsource, how did you find the outsource? If you use a program, what do you use?

I use Wordpress for all of my clients websites and I outsource most of it. I find all of my outsourcers at www.odesk.com. You can have a custom Wordpress website created for you for less than $100 in a lot of cases. It just depends on what you need.

If you need web copy and articles etc it will run you a little more. I hope this helps

Ok I will try Odesk. So do you post up the job for say $75 (fixed price) for custom wordpress theme? Just looking for a price range that people have seen work for a good quality site.

What about web content? Can I get the site built out completely & at what price?

      Thanks for the help!

I've been designing WP sites since 2008. There's more to it than just outsourcing. You gotta to know your stuff, even if you outsource it. If you're not doing the work yourself, most likely you won't make much money being a web designer.

Try mobile site design. It's way easier. You'll save yourself a bunch of problems and make a few bucks.

I am in the mobile arena already for certain. I'm just trying to be a complete solution for someone needs a new site on top of my other services & I've seen some sites that are horrible.

I can build a WP site out. Done it quite a few times & know which plugins to use to SEO it, what google likes, etc. I'm of course of the philosophy if you don't know how to do it then don't outsource it.

I'm doing a rather large campaign & getting busy with meetings & now want to have it built out when needed, so I can continue to handle sales. So, I'm looking for feedback from others who are already outsourcing things like site buildout & how they are doing it.
