What threads/reports should I read?

Hi,

I'm considering doing some offline marketing, well setting up some websites for small business etc.

Mainly because I have recently done 4 websites free, for friends and even some SEO work for my gardener! So I decided it's worth considering...

Could anybody recommend any reports or blogs etc that I should read?

What are the major stumbling blocks for setting up this type of offline work?

Thanks for any advice.

The major stumbling block is just taking action. If you've tried internet marketing, even if you've failed, you're already a hundred steps ahead of the average business owner.

As far as what threads/reports you should follow, it's hard to tell. There's a lot of people out there doing this that have no idea what they are doing. If you tell me what areas you're looking to concentrate your business on, I can recommend products to get/sites to visit.

Well I'm really happy with the results I've had with the sites mentioned above, my gardeners site went from page 11 google search to position 3 on the first page...and page one on the new sites.

So this has given me confidence to have a go actually charging for my knowledge, and I have discovered I really enjoy the designing and setting up of sites, the challenges of seo and where to target the site.

But I know from my own sites, I find it hard to focus on the backlinking etc, so I have started outsourcing them.

I'm thinking of focusing on sole trader webdesign in the local area...

A cool tip to find the good threads is to sort them by rating!
