How to setup your business?

Guys,

just wondering what you guys have done when starting out with this business.

Did you create a new company with name website etc or did you operate as yourself to start with? I am just debating how to approach businesses at the moment....

thanks

I started an LLC to do all of my Internet Marketing work under. It doesn't cost very much to start one.

LLC is a great choice because I'm about to do one myself.

But if your just starting off your business you need to get your name out and let people know about your business. So what i would recommend is start a website (weebly.com) or even a blog and talk about your business and how it could help people because that is whats going to attract them to you.

Then just use Facebook, Youtube, and other social media sites to spread the word.

Of course as what we all know CAPITAL is always the number one to consider.
Since we are in Offline Marketing Discussions, I assume you don't even have a website for your business. If yes, Good!

In setting up a business, you should come up with catchy and related business name to what your products and services are, else it's pointless. We want people to remember our business by the services we offer right? Not because we just want to.
The name could be base on your services, don't worry to much in the name of your website, coz you can name if after your business name.

    Thanks,
    MrSS

I started a Sole Prop. In California (where I am) LLCs are expensive!

I used a little social media, but mostly word of mouth to spread the word of my business.

I agree with MrSS on all of his points. Before you get too far into it, sit down and fully plan what you want to do. Where do you see the business in 5 years? 10? Create a business plan (if you haven't already) and go from there. No point in spending all the time and money to set something up without the profits in sight.

    Good luck!
