Website Redesign & membership site?

Hey guys,

I've got a client with a quite big website who wants to redesign it. They also want to have a members area for a certain category of the website, as well as a private category for the board members.

I always like doing stuff in wordpress since it's so easy for unexperienced people to edit and make changes. Anyways, can you recommend any plugins and/or themes to use for this purpose?

I also want to ask you how you would calculate the price for a project like this?

    Can you supply some more details? What type of client is it?

    To get an idea on price, you could take the details of your project and solicit bids on a site like odesk or elance.com, or scriptlance, and then add in your markup.

    it ranges from DAP -around 150 bucks or so up to membergate $3000+ based on coldfusion. depends on what functionality you want done.

    Charge them dudes $2000 - $5000 for the redesign and for your labor and expertise. They can afford it. Especially if they estimate that the creation of a newly designed website will increase sales tenfold. I wouldn't balk on the price. Make sure it's a hefty fee that you charge.

    WP + Members Plugin (Free) + Custom Theme (Price depends of what customer wants + placing all the content in there - be aware of this !!!!)

    Your Price:
    Your hourly Rate x Amount of Expected Hours + taxes (at the very least)

    Anything else, shoot your questions.
