The Real Deal Offline Series: How Much Time Do You Spend A Day On Your Offline Business?

Hey Offliners,

The other day, I was listening to a audio recording of one of the female contestants on the show "The Biggest Loser" and she was talking about the amount of time that they spent exercising each day to lose 15-30+ lbs each weigh-in.

When she said they normally worked out six to eight hours per day, my jaw almost hit the floor.

Are you kidding me?

They work out six to eight hours a day! So, that's why I can't lose these last 30 lbs. I'm only working out a hour a day. Oh crap, that might not be enough to get me where I want to go.

As soon as she said six to eight hours a day, I immediately begin to think of how much time I was (or wasn't) spending working on my offline business each day.

All of a sudden my level of comittment seemed...underwhelming. Sigh.

I then reflected back on the last dozen or so wso's that I'd purchased. It seems that most of them were professing to be able to bring me hoardes of clients with little to no work on my part.

Now, before you chew me out, I've been around long enough to know that offline marketing takes work, but have we as offliners truly been working our butts off to make our business a success?

With that being said; is the four hour workweek truly achievable for the majority of us offliners? Well, I honestly don't think it's possible at first, but over time as you get better systems and better outsourcers, it may be possible.

See, the truth is alot of offliners think they can gain access to their dream life by working a couple of hours a week. That's simply not enough.

In my case, I've found that I need to spend at least four to six hours per day to get my marketing stuff done, manage my outsourcers and keep tabs on my needy clients.

Hope this helps,

Chris

It's not about how much time you spend working it's about how you spend your time working. The people on The Biggest Loser aren't effective in their weight loss, a lot of contestants gain the weight back after the show. Why, because they're inefficient.

You can't maintain a workout regime of 6-8 hours a day when that's not your job. So when they leave the show they maintain their past eating habits but can't maintain their workout schedule and lapse into weight-gain again. The same thing can be said for how one spends their time at work.

Have you ever seen someone who started up a company and worked 100 hours a week? I have, you know what happened after a month, the guy quit, because he couldn't handle all the work he was doing. You don't need to work ridiculous hours to make money, though someone telling you that you'll get rich working only a few hours a day is scamming you. The key is being efficient and dong the work that needs to be done and not letting things back up. Once you've got a backlog that's when you can't keep up.

It's the same thing with the people on The Biggest Loser, they're overweight because they didn't take care of themselves before and have a backlog of overdue workouts and diet. If they had maintained themselves before, they wouldn't be forcing themselves through these unnecessary six hour workouts.

I work more in my business than i would work in an 8-hour gig at a job. Truthfully, i spend around 10-12 hours a day. My marketing day starts 1 hour after waking up and working out. I spend 10-12 hours a day just to implement the most potent marketing strategies out there. I have about 10 of them that i do everyday.

Big offline profits come with big responsibilities = more time working/making sure everything goes as planned. Offline is fun, profitable and a HUGE Market (growing every single day!) but if people want to make this full time and bring in the BIG BRANDS we need to treat it as a goldmine: with a short leash and with a riffle nearby

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

Per day, I would probably put in a solid 8 hours of work, whereas, when I had a full time job, I may put in more hours, but my productivity was incredibly low.

I also try to work every day of the week.
