I don't know about members on this forum, but you can get a company like Iqor or GC Services to do your telemarketing for you. Don't know how much they cost tho. I used to work for both of them.

I worked for GC Services last year (inbound calls)..didn't know they provided these services..they're probably expensive, but may be worth it. Anyway, you can find a telemarketer on Craigslist, ODesk, guru.com, etc..

I think most of the people who started out offering telemarketing here got tired of haggling with people over paying up front... Or web designers who want you to practically sell the whole deal for them, not just set an appointment with an interested prospect... I personally set appointments for some people here, and half of them didnt even get run. We need serious prospects to work with.

Insurance companies know the deal, but (no offense) most IMr's want to haggle and nickle and dime...and have you jump through hoops... also they want very small orders... They arent ready to MOVE in general like alot of other types of industries who have been using appointment setting services forever and are used to the way it works... Its still grabbing on in IM.

    If you said

"Im serious, I have money, I have realistic expectations, and Im a mature, solid client who is looking for a long haul provider..." then you would have a load of responses.

Prospecting is the hardest part... I wouldnt expect a telemarketer to sell themselves to you too hard... you may have to sell them instead on why you are a good client.

If thats not the case, you are talking to the wrong telemarketer. Take your money and run. If a telemarketer is any good, you will have to sell HIM.

But yeah, thats prob why responses are low... Appointment setters have a bad taste for being drilled by inexperienced prospects.

The last thing I personally want to do is call someone who needs me more than I need them and have to listen to them tell me why I should work on a commission split. Thats how most are appointment setters are feeling around here I think. The appointment setters are moving on to better markets than newby offline start up companies.

Personally, I know the value of their work, I encourage them not to sell themselves to anyone. Their service is valuable and when its all said and done its not worth it to work with clients unless they do it on your terms... On the WF ( no offense) alot of them have experienced the whole "drilling" thing...and its not worth it. There are too many insurance companies begging for appointments.

I would get on the phone, but it would take one hell of a sales pitch from a prospective client and they would need to be ready to make me an offer worthy of my time. For me, anything less than $100 bucks per hour isnt worth it. Honestly, I wouldnt even feel GREAT about that exactly, unless it came in the form of a $2,000 check for 20 leads in advance. Then it would be worth putting some energy into for a week or so...

Most arent THAT expensive, but they need to be courted and they are worth it.

So you recommend a company that you put in your signature. That makes it sounds very legit recommendation.
You have many posts with the same script on them. This is nothing but spam. You add no value to the board. Please read the terms and condition and stop the spamming.

You clearly didn't look at what we do by going to our page, so I don't need to address your question, since you're being facetious and your question makes no sense anyways. However, since you asked, I will answer your question the way it is written so I can show your lack of tact.

There is a large variance of what "marketing firm" entails. Marketing firms generally are a business that affects the distribution and sales of goods and services from producer to consumer; including products or service development, pricing, packaging, advertising, merchandising, and distribution. So, in short, yes, we COULD work with others in our industry that are "marketing firms" by offering them lead generation for their own business. It's not likely though, read on.

We help small-medium size businesses with their marketing, customer retention, customer management, and gaining a customer base - that is OUR specialty, and we do it via the tools listed on our link. We don't normally work with other people that do exactly what we do...that would make no sense. We have partnered with other marketing firms that need part of our services that they themselves do not offer.

Next time you want to get information, try to do it without making yourself look uninformed and rude.

Just because you took it that way, doesn't mean that's how it was meant, I was actually interested in your services and looking for clarification on whether or not you do the same things as me.

It looked like you were offering cold calling services to web design and seo businesses which is what most people on here do, in which case I would a distinct lack of trust in any leads you sent me as it would make sense to keep the best ones for yourself. And trust me, if it looks like that to me, it will look like that to others. Maybe take a lesson from this and work on your message.

Marketing firm, shmarketing firm, I don't care what the technical definition is, I see it as a company who sells marketing (most of us here).

Rude to you is concise and inquisitive to me.

You shouldn't be so defensive sir, it's the weekend, smile.

You're "Ooooookay" did not come across as inquisitive or concise, sounded like my teenager before she gets her phone taken away. You should work on your message too

As for what you think we do, I don't know how you got that, I don't mention SEO or WEB in my signature. My "message" is clear if you took the time to go to our page and read what we do. I've never had anyone confused on what it is we do after visiting our page. We don't have anyone calling or emailing that is confused.

            PS. I'm a woman, not a sir.

However, as John has already said, you have to be prepared to at least pay some money up front to the person you're looking to hire. Once you and they get confident with their skills, you will be able to move them to a commission only structure.
