Can't say that this would replace qr codes.

Qr codes made it into the mind first. Everything else that comes along will only be compared to the QR code. As long as it does things like the QR code then it will be a second place finish.

To beat the QR code a company will have to disrupt the way we use them to create a new category.

Once a new category is created to make you forget about the old way, and show you an entirely different way, then everything will always be compared to the QR code.

Until that happens it will be business as usual for Mr. Q.

My 2 cents...QR codes rock. As a busker on the streets, I can put a QR code on my banner and have those who watch the show (if they have a smart phone...and most do) capture the image which takes them directly to a sign up video (optin form embeded in the video itself...thanks evp 2), and grow my list, then send updates about my online publcation.

Blippar on the other hand, Id love to have it integrated in my online mag to provide a different experience from what they could get elsewhere. As yet, this is to be done, and ratified...as to what that experience would be, and getting in touch with blippar to see what is possible...(both elements in the works...)

As said, just my 2 cents...
