Example SEO Monthly Packages?

I have seen many talk about having different SEO packages in their arsenal for clients to choose from. I understand the importance of having these. Can someone give an example of 3 packages they offer including what they do exactly per package? Thanks

Just email your local SEO firms and ask them what they charge thats what I did to get the idea how much to charge for webdesign.

Of course use a random email so they don't see another SEO guy asking for prices.

The SEO Partners probably has a great three package range. I would try and hit up your local SEO companies to see what they charge to stay current. As the other users say use a different email lol!! hope this works out !

You may want to email some SEO companies to give you the type of packages they offer clients.

They vary in some respects because there are many companies these days that are considered offshore - meaning they are nowhere near your area, and are from a different country.

Believe me, these offshore providers have different packages. But at the end of the day, you choose what's best for you and your company.

Well, do you do SEO? Can you get results? If not, then don't offer it as a service, simple as that. If you do, then you should get creative and create your own packages based on your competitors prices. Depending on your positioning, make it more expensive or make it cheaper, that is more up to you!

      This is some interesting logic.

I wonder if the owners of Nike know how to make shoes - cause if not, they should stop selling them, simple as that.

Well anyone can be an owner of Nike, since it is a publicly traded company.

Anyway, if you have no idea what you're doing, then why would you try to get into a field you can't do anything with? Why would they have started Nike, if they knew nothing about shoes? How can they know if the warehouses are making them the right way or give them guidelines?

You can try with the smart comments, but if you have no idea how to rank a website, then don't lie to your potential clients. Once again, it is as simple as that.

Why would someone get into it if they don't know much about?? Because you can make a killing at it! That is why.

A car salesman does not need to know how a motor works to sell a car. I am sure if he knows the basic stuff like year, make, model, how much horsepower he will do just fine.

Your logic doesn't make any sense. You think all big SEO companies do all the work themselves? Do you think they are actually building backlinks?

I don't think so. They have guys from all over the world doing it for them. They don't care how it is done as long as it gets results.

            Thanks,
            Joe
This is accurately true. Big SEO firms just outsourced somewhere else for a minimal price once they have the deal. That's how their business works. I have a personal experienced on this because I also accept SEO works from these companies from time to time.

One thing that we have found in this business is that while it's great having packages, some clients WANT to pay more than that.

Here's an example - one of our reps visited a computer company last week to quote on a new site & SEO. He wanted to shake the guy off because he had a negative attitude about the whole thing, so my rep decided we would be better off without him.

So he said that SEO for his business would come in at $4k a month, to which the guy replied "that's fine, i wouldn't want to pay any less than that, because then I wouldn't be getting a good job done"

We won this job, and in truth, we'll put in more work than a client we would quote a $1k maintenance package to, but it just goes to show that sometimes, people want to pay more than you might be thinking of charging.

So have your prices for those who request them, but always have the opportunity to do bespoke pricing too.

@Wilder, for a physical product, it is expected that the people know what they are doing. However, outsourcing and pretending to know things (example: just about every "get rich quick" ebook) is so prevalent among Internet marketers or any service with Internet marketing that the question is pertinent.

However, I also do wonder if the Nike owners themselves know how to make shoes, without other workers helping them. Probably not. Guess that shows you that outsourcing does work, huh?

I don't think you should sell SEO services if you have NO clue on how it works.

But, a basic understanding of the inner-workings is adequate to chose the best outsourced service to provide great results for your clients.

I don't know about you guys - but the internet marketing companies where I'm from are totally lying and stealing from local business owners when telling them about SEO. I look at businesses paying for SEO and their rankings won't move an inch after MONTHS.

I imagine the majority of people on here have the desire to truly help people - and therefore will ensure that the SEO efforts they employ will actually help businesses go somewhere!!

We have some normal packages for "normal" people starting at 97$/month and PRO packages for those in the know (custom made, usually from 499$/month). What we do lately is avoid curious/ignorant clients. Just this year we have had some major headaches cause some people just don't get it - Beware some clients will mess everything they legally signed and act like di#$#$"ds cause their site "is just #7" when it was #88... So yeah, a good monthly plan is useful, but don't forget really tight contracts.

Good question, I'm actually doing one for a prospect as I type this.

I had asked him about his budget in the first meeting, so I have one package with three local keywords and his Google Places fix along the lines of what he mentioned.

Then, for $400 more, I've added three more keyphrases (nearby neighborhood/city).

I'll be offering a total of 4 packages. So:
    #1. Budget
    #2. Budget + $400
    #3. #2 + ~$1000
    #4. #3 + $1000

Why do the rates go up dramatically? Because the keyphrases at level 3 & 4 are much more competitive and more work will go in.

I'm hoping he will go with package 2 and work up once he has more faith in me. But then, I'm a newb starting out so having my first client is exciting enough.

Hope this helps. Also, keep in mind what type of clients you have. Is it a dentist? Plumber? A yoga instructor?

Can't charge a yoga instructor what you may charge a dentist. Their customers pay them much less. I guess we have to learn to strike a delicate balance between what you are offering, how much the client may afford and how much work you have to put into the package.

    Good luck.

I think a key is to tailor this to everyone but base the amounts on what is fair and the work you will do.

Yes a doctor or a lawyer may be able to pay more but sell them on more just don't inflate the price. Because many of those doctors will know yoga instructors and vice versa.

Don't charge one $200/hr while another you charge $20/hr. Sooner or later you will piss someone off and it could hurt your referals. That's why I always tell people to have their hourly rate figured in their head and that way they can estimate the work load and price accordingly.

Remember your best advertising will be referals so make sure you have it set so referrals can tell them what you did for $1,000 for them. Now of course if the next guys has a more competitive keyword you have to be honest and tell him it will take more work. But you are selling him on what more you are doing and vice versa. The yoga instructer might tell you he can only budget $200/mo and you can tell him here is what you can do with that but if he could budget blank you could do all this that would really help him.
