Need feedback from those who use TXT180 for SMS

I need to setup a client for SMS service and I'm planning on going with TXT180. I did have a couple of questions for those either using this service or have used this service in the past.

1. With the included messages in each package (either 500 or 1000) when an person optin using the shortcode and keyword, the autoresponder message that they receive does that count towards the monthly allowed messages we have or not?

Or only when when we send out a blast to already subscribers in our list will it count agains the allocated messages. For example, If the client has 125 subscribers and they send out 1 blast a week then that would count as 500 messages correct?

2. Let's say I sign up for my first account with TXT180 and I assign a keyword that I will be using for my 1st client. Then later I have another client that wants SMS marketing. Do I them signup again with my info, but this time using a different keyword or is there a way to have 1 account and manage multiple clients within the account. Or do I just use the same account and then get another keyword for the different client since the shortcode will be the same anyways.

Is it OK to just use their regular account to setup all my clients and manage their accounts for them instead of going with reseller program/whitelabel where the client takes over their account and manages it themeselves?

Anyway the client can find out I'm using TXT180 as the service for them and they can see the real cost of the service since I will be marking up the service on a monthly service?

    Hello,
Been using TXT180 for about 8 months so I'm no expert but I will give you the best answers I have.

Any of their packages deduct a message from your total for any message sent out including help and stop messages, auto responses and blasts. So in your example you are correct but it will also deduct anyone who opts out, anyone who texts help, and of course when they opt in and receive the response.

As for your second question, I used different accounts at first and then started putting them all on the same account with different keywords. It was easier this way because I only had one login and could access all of the keywords on the one account.

I have been doing what you are starting for close to a year now and I can tell you I have recently opted to do the reseller platform because it is simply easier. It costs a little more to get started but if you start the way you are looking at doing it and make some cash first it will probably work better for you.

Just a side note, if your customer texts help it will give them txt180s website to get the information they request if you are not on the white label shortcode.

I hope this helps and best of luck to you,
    b

      Thanks for your feedback.

So did you encounter a situation when one of your client actually text help using the shortcode and got the txt180 website? Anyway to avoid this if I'm not actually doing the reseller or whitelabel account?

So you managed all your client's accounts and they only sent you the message that needed to go out weekly and you scheduled it in the system and blasted to their subscribers correct?

Anytime! I don't know for fact that they text help however I did have several ask about txt180. I just let them know that txt180 was a self service platform and I was using their platform to manage their campaign for them. All of the accounts that ever asked me about txt180 are still my customers today. The only way that I have been informed of it not happening is by switching to the white label which I have already done. (not for this reason but it makes what I'm trying to accomplish easier)

I do manage all my customers currently and they text, call, email me their message and time to send the message and I queue it up to send.

        Goodluck to ya,

With txt180.com service when you did just the 1 account for all clients and each time you got a new client and added a new keyword to the 1 account (shortcode will still be the same for all clients) for each new keyword do we get a new 1000 text package with it? Otherwise having one account would mean sharing the same 1000 txt messages among your clients correct.

Or would we need to setup a totally new account for each client like you did at first ...so it would $25/mo for 1st account, then 2nd client another $25/mo, and so forth correct in order to get 1000 text package for each client?

Can you give some feedback on how this works with txt180?

Hey mrtrance, The majority of my customers were on their own plan at 500 messages some of the smaller users were sharing a 2500 message plan. It is easier to manage them if they are all on the same account just with different keywords but once they start picking up in contacts it is hard to move them to their own account.
I have recently switched to the reseller platform which is far easier and less expensive overall. I can log directly into the customers accounts and set them with just about any amount of messages per customer.
If you can afford to do the $295 up front I would recommend going that way from the start if you plan on having a lot of customers.

If you plan to have a lot of customers I would do the white label. I have not used txt180 yet but their support was very helpful in answering my questions and I am seriously considering them.

My problem will be can I have the time to sell this since I will still have my full time job.

    BrashImpact,

Let me make sure I am getting your numbers right...

$97 One time setup fee for us?

For ONE customer: (base price of 47/month?)

$47 for a keyword per month which comes with 3000 texts. Are there any other fees other than overage?

    Thanks,

    Matt
