How to find offline businesses with no websites?

Any know how to find businesses in Yellow Pages, Yelp, or wherever else that dont have websites?

Is there like a setting somewhere, or some type of hidden search string (lol), thats allows you to do this?

Going through all the pages manually and checking if they dont have one is quite annoying :/

Yes, (manually) a lot of these listings have their websites posted.....when you see one that doesn't - call them

It is going to take a little elbow work, but I did this one time when I was prospecting Atlanta for a company I worked for. Go to Fiverr and look up business leads, you should see someone offering a list of your prospective city(or request it). I got list of 2,550 businesses and 2,340 had email, phone, address, everything. I would just send emails all day and check if they had a website, and take it from there. Much Success to everyone.

You want an email list for businesses with no website?

That's hard because biz owner don't just list their personal email on the net, they will be spammed.

    Try InfoUSA

Why don't you just call the business and ask for their web address. When they give you the address, not a prospect, when they say we don't have one...that's a prospect. Then call back in a few days with your proposal. There's a name for a system like this.....lemme think....ummmm...ummmm...oh yea...SALES!

    Go for it

Google Places is a good place. Do a search for what ever niche you want to work...."dentists city", party rentals city" for example.....scan the listings....when you come across one that has "maps.google.com" it stands a good chance that it does not have a business website.
IF...it does have a website, then look into offering to update and optimize their google place listing.

Do business niche searches in sites like Merchantcircle.com, Manta.com, Yelp.com...same thing applies....if no website is listed, most likely they do not have one. Just look over their business information....that will tell you everything.

Rus Sells has a tool that will do exactly that. It scrapes Google Places and you'll be able to see businesses that do not have a URL attached to their Places account.

I can't remember the URL, but in my signature, if you sign-up to my interview of him, I have a link in my follow-up that has the URL.

I've found this is not difficult to do by just searching for the places I'm going.

Really, I ws going to help some offline businesses get online for a while and just noticed that most of the places I went, did not have a sufficient presence online or when they did, they didn't really have a website or presence that did anything for them.

I would just tell someone, hey do you know you don't even exist in my smartphone search. If I didn't know you where here, I would've never found you.

Usually, they will say, talk to my manager and then I went from there.

Once I helped about 5 businesses, they told others and within a month, I had more business that I could handle.

I was on vacation and did the same thing in another very large city and it worked exactly the same and they had mutliple locations.

So that is what I suggest you do.

      Good luck.

@iAmNameLess Its not the shyness. Its that age factor. I am 14 and for sure businesses wont take me serious over the phone cause of my high voice, and most likely even less if I go face to face and see them.

Maybe you can say you are a girl.. then could pass for late teens early 20s. LOL. Yeah, you do have stuff stacked against you. Could either hire someone, or avoid the service as a whole and get into internet marketing and do CPA or MFA sites.

xD lol yeah. I could pull all the stops and walk into the interview with a pushup bra, and a wig :p.

I already do internet marketing but the potential income that one can make with offline marketing is awesome!

Do you think if I start a site offering my SEO services, go out and rank for some keywords, promote a little, etc? Let them come to me, not the other way around?

Well here is the problem. Even doing that, and letting them come to you, you still need to have customer service and pick up the phone for them. Email, isn't enough. It isn't impossible, just a lot more unlikely, and a lot more time consuming. Not impossible though.

Ranking for a few keywords, gets traffic coming in, and possibly impulse decisions that don't require a phone call.

I wouldn't bother emailing them with a pitch.. Once you discover a business with
no website I pick up the phone and call them!

I say something like, "I'm putting a local directory for ... mention niche and area,
but could NOT find their website. Can you tell me what what the URL is please?".
If they say they don't have one, you have your foot in the door, typically they
offer excuses, so be ready to offer a rebuttal. At the end of the day their direct
competitors do have websites and that can be used as a final rebuttal if all else
failed. I do actually build directories, and found this a very easy way the get my
offline stuff running. I wasn't selling anything, so my fears about cold-calling
    were mute!

To the OP: I'm recording a video today that covers this very topic for some of my
clients. PM me if you'd like a copy of it when done.

    HTH

I'd suggest going thru the pages manually.

Those companies that have websites usually display it in their Yellow Pages ad.

Pick a niche too, don't start at page 1 of Yellow Pages.

I'd go for a market that's booming in your area.
