Help: I'm Looking For An Offline Marketing Mentor

Hey Warriors,

Here's the skinny. I just so happened to stumble across this whole Offline Marketing thing and I am excited.

For the most part I understand 'most' of the jargon and terminology to be able to talk effectively with local clients.

However, my underlying dilemma is that I am a little confused as what road to take in terms of solidifying a few trustworthy/reliable people to possibly do some SEO/Design work for me.

I have so many ideas and am taking in so much info at one time it has my head literally spinning.

What direction should I start in...?

    sownsow,

There are a MULTITUDE of offline gurus out there... and you can spend anywhere from a few bucks to close to $3K getting answers.

I will say, though, that I am impressed with Sam England and Bill Pratt's WSO:

Very affordable... and these guys are in the "trenches".

We do offline marketing as well... but just don't have a course put together at this time that has the info that they are offering.

I WILL say this... there are "gurus" out there selling offline marketing courses and the funny thing is that they have NEVER graced the front door of a local business in years... and if they HAVE... maybe just a couple... therefore, they have NO idea what the offline marketers are going through.

These guys in the "trenches" do, however... and their low-cost courses offer a LOT more practical value.

I'm not sure you if know SEO but if you don't do not offer it. If your client asks you something about it and you don't know you will look untrustworthy yourself.

But that is just my opinion.

You can find trusting SEO people with a lot of positive reviews on this forum itself!

How about reading everything about what you want to know? There are books and sources on the internet. Gorge over them and enjoy what you pick up. Then, when you begin meeting other like-minded people, you can validate what you learn and more importantly, become honest in asking intelligent questions.

Now, if you think you want to move these learnings to the next level, consider looking for a person who can guide you by the hand. Many people are willing to help, but it's best there's someone near your area.
