Does anyone use a popup contact form on their clients sites to get more business? If so what are you using? Thanks

Yes, I use a pop up contact form on my site ChrisDouthitSystem.com. I tried a couple different contact forms, but they did not center the pop up, you could only set it a distance from the left. So I just bit the bullet and wrote my own pop up code.

bz9 offers a pretty awesome solution. I have used that for a client recently and can say its legit and a great investment. Very easy to set up and definitely worth it.

I use many of those previously mentioned. I also use WP Super Popup in WordPress. It creates unblockable, dynamic and fully configurable popups for your blog. It works also if WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache is enabled! You can use the built in WYSIWYG, or you can use the built in HTML box to paste in your custom html, or you can use the built in Stylesheet embed option. Plenty of options.

I tried using one, but I didn't benefit a lot from it.

I have found that there are two elements that require a little experimentation and a little cognitive sales thought. There are more elements, but for these two elements you need to keep in mind that this is intended to be a "call to action".

        1. I have found that the pop-ups are better suited to some niches over others.
        2. I have found that with a call to action with a pop-up that an incentive is best added to encourage the call to action.

If you are not working at molding and remolding a tool like a pop-up to fit a niche and to work with an incentive then you are likely to give up on them fast. I am not claiming that they are suitable for all implementations, but they are most certainly a very effective tool for getting folks into your sales funnel when used at the right place, the right time, and with the right incentives.

Don't be so quick to give up on tool like this. Learn when, where, and how it can be of benefit to you and your prospects.
