Need help with my customer

So last night I met with a new customer who's a carpet cleaner. I'm going to be creating a mobile website for him. He also told me that he pays an SEO guy monthly to keep him ranked high with Google. He's currently in the middle of page one and hasn't moved from that spot for months.

He's also not happy with the lack of communication between him and the SEO guy. He's said the SEO guy is hard to get a hold of and won't make any simple changes to his site (like price changes, phone numbers, etc) even though he agreed to in the beginning. So he's looking for someone new.

I told him I'd do some research for him to see if it was possible to rank him closer to the number one spot and give him a monthly price to keep him there. So coming here is the start of my research.

I'm not an SEO kinda guy, but I know a lot of you here are. I'm basically looking for someone to outsource this project to as well as other future projects that come along. If I can find someone who is good, reliable, and reasonably priced, I'll start offering more SEO work to my customers. And since this is for local SEO for an offline business, I decided to post here instead of the warriors for hire.

If anyone is interested or has any recommendations, send me a PM. I'm sure I'll get bombarded with a bunch of "pick me"s so please send your qualifications as well.

Thanks.

Mike

    Hi Mike

It all depends on the level of competition and how much of a budget your customer has. I can't send personal messages yet however If you like please feel free to send me an email through my website below. I would leave my email address here however I get enough spam each day as it is.

    Kind Regards,

PM me some info, I may not be able to do it cheap, but I might be able to refer you to someone pretty good that is very affordable. PM me the keyword and website so I can search and possibly just give you a few tips to handle it yourself!

I have experience in helping to get local business ranked with video techniques that I have not seen mentioned on WF (maybe they are but I haven't come across them).. If you are interested in talking, look at my profile (I can't PM yet) there is a link to my company there and I'd be happy to show you some examples of what I have done and how I could possibly help.

I'd be wary of offering a monthly price to keep him in a particular spot - or even within a range of spots. There is just too much that is out of your direct control to guarantee that.

And if you happen to drop a few places after all your hard work? No payment is not what you want to happen.

So first of all, I suggest that you phrase your offer differently. Perhaps think more in terms of lead generation than which spot to hold. That's measurable and worth real money to your client.

I don't think SEO is that hard. Are you sure you don't want to do it yourself and save yourself some money instead of hiring a warrior?

I think you should research how competitive the serach terms your customer used in his site for ranking.coz it will depends on the strength of the competition.and if you can't improve the ranking higher, you may try to use different ways on seo works.and you should know which ways the seo guy use mostly, and you may try different ways to have a try.and I think the best way to promote offline business is the moth of the world.
Why not use twitter and facebook to promote the offline business? if one of your fb fan like it ,I think the business will be recommend his/her friends. It is a also a trsong method than seo.
