What would you love to outsource?

I'm getting into offline consulting (possibly) and have some experience outsourcing to VAs that work under my direction (i do this for my online business). I'm compiling a list of things I would outsource and wanted to ask fellow marketers what they would outsource, to make sure I'm not missing anything. So far I have:

Creating listings in local directories (citysearch, bing, etc)
Mobile website building
Wordpress website creation/set up
Social bookmarking and link building
Basic SEO like keyword research, competition research etc
Craigslist posting
QR code/ SMS tasks

I'm wondering if I should have the VA do the research in finding the initial businesses to target (with instruction of course)

I've been reading/reviewing a few WSOs and looking at what things it's essential I do myself and what I want someone else to do (for example, it's tedious work). But I do want to make clear I know how to do all of it, so I'm not looking to outsource because I don't know what I'm doing, I just want to focus on the more strategy oriented, not task oriented things.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated

I'm always surprised especially for offliners that more of you don't have a PA that is local. If I could afford it I would always rather have someone local I knew and trusted. Yeah VAs are easier and cheaper in some ways but getting a person who really knows you and is there can really help you take it to the next level.

My and my one boss have an assistant that we kinda split who helps us both and I love having her there to do the little things I need.

Aaron, what types of tasks do you have them do?

____ as far as the other part, I do, and have done, both. I've had a local VA, I have overseas VAs, I have one person on 1099 contract, in the same state, and one "real employee" (had two, fired the other).

I prefer USA based for specific tasks that require more knowledge working, as opposed to skill working. Having said that, it really depends on where you are (which country, state, local labor laws and taxes). Payroll burden is not fun, in addition to the taxes and other expenses (workers comp, unemployment insurance) that quickly add on more expense.

I would suggest if you have an email list of prospect clients and have several email templates then you could outsource that. Then see the results, test different templates and so on.

Forum posting on targeted forums with your signature is also a very popular outsourcing task, I think.

    Good luck.

Outsourcing is a personal thing surely, you outsource what you arent good at yourself, what doesnt bring in more money than it spends (ie your time is valuable so if taking 5 hours doing something doesnt bring in at least 8* your hourly rate then outsource it unless you really love doing it) and outsource the repetitive tasks that are neccesary but dont really make a massive difference to the client facing part of your business
