Urgent Favor: Google Places Client Form

Hey Offline Warriors,

Wondering if someone could do me a huge favour and share their form they send clients to get all the details to populate Google Places?

I know this is a big ask but whatever I can do in return I'll be happy to help out.

Thanks

I usually call them and go through it verbally. Otherwise they get confused. Plus they have to phone verify it any way. So soon as they hang up Google calls then they send the number to you.

Don't have one, but you may want to fill out a spreadsheet with all the fields that places offers & get them to fill in the spreadsheet.

Just make up a form that asks for everything the listing asks for. I've attached one that I use to this post. It's pretty basic, but it does what I need it to do.

I go enter the data while they are on the phone with me. I also set up a separate gmail account that both the customer and I can access. (I do forward that gmail to them so they never miss an inquiry from online). Not sure if that separate gmail account is recommended or not though.

So far, I've found that going through it over the phone with them made them feel more comfortable about what I was doing on their behalf.

So, I also do not have a form they fill out.

Thanks for the replies guys, and thanks very much Jeff for the form!

Just a word of caution for those that do their Place listings by phone; I would always have something filled in by the client. If they give you the wrong information over the phone and that affects their rankings or creates bad matches with their citations etc. you have no recourse.

Eg. - 1 Star Review "This page says they are open until 7pm on Thursdays. I travelled all the way across the city only to find the business all closed up and empty. Not Happy!

Client: "Have you seen that scathing review Mr SEO guy??? Why the hell did you put that we were open until 7 on a Thursday??"

SEO Guy: "You told me over the phone that you were!"

Client: "I certainly did not! I said *sometimes* we stay open an hour or so later on Thursdays"

SEO Guy: "No you... ok, well I'm sorry"

Client: "Bit late now isn't it."

    Get it in an email!

    Cheers!

I share the same opinion as Croix. Have the client provide YOU the information (via email / completed form) and then you enter it into the website.

The last thing you need is getting into a He-Said-She-Said debate with a client (who will be blaming you at this point).

Same reason I get any approvals in writing via email for changes to a profit system or marketing plan that's being implemented.

People forget. People make mistakes. Cover your butt.

Otherwise you run the risk of a business owner in your community telling EVERYONE they know how awful you are to do business with.

    Cheers,

Also once the info it put up I would have them verify it all and have them email to confirm it is correct.
