Playing Citation Catchup

Hi Guys

I have been researching a niche in the UK using whitespark's citation finder

The keyword I looked at has citation amounts for the 7 pack ranging from 7 to 248 (although the business at no1 has 101)

Am I right in saying, this niche is competitive enough that I could offer a recurring service of offering 30-40 citations a month to companies not in the 7 pack

    Well you can make a service like that but whats gonna happen when you run out of local and global directories?
    Don't tell them how many you will deliver; offer them a listing optimization and help them rank on first page at the end of the day that's what matter not how many citations they have.

      Understood, but still a little confused

      What stops seo companies collating all the directories and submitting their clients to beat competitors, so they to run out?

      There is the saying, slow and steady wins the race, do you see it as that kind of thing?

    yup I totally agree but the thing is while you can explain this to an Internet Marketer or a Webmaster; Small Business owners just don't seem to understand well why they need citations and how that will help their business they just want to see results. So instead of offering a number of citations, offer them results if you are a professional and do your citations building the right way you will be able to rank them. Just make sure your clients understand that it takes time to start seeing improvement on their listings.
