Business question RE: Offline Marketing

I live in Texas and was recently told by a friend that I have to charge my clients Sales Tax for website design. Is this true?! If so, what other offline services do I have to charge Sales Tax for when delivering them? Also, do I have to charge out-of-state clients the Texas Sales Tax for these same services?

I would say to contact your state revenue department and ask them. Best way to know for sure.

Also I would think your state sales tax would apply to only clients/customers within your state, but asking would tell you for sure.

    Thanks,

    John

This is the kind of question for which you need a definitive answer so I suggest that you either contact your state revenue department, or ask your accountant.

Don't rely on anyone to get you the right answer other than a professional in your local area.
