HEY,

I am redoing my website, and I want to include Mobile sites as a service. I have seen enough about them to know many of you are making good money from them..... but....... I dont know much more than that...... I outsource everything........ so what is average cost.... and how much do you charge....... actually..... if anyone knows a kick a** WSO to get me started .... please share..... I just dont know how it works exactly, like do they need special hosting, or registering it to be mobile , i just dont know the specifics..... thanks

    jstarx,
Get yourself familiar with the options and play with them a little before you decide. You can find every type of service out there.

    I use two primary types.
    1. Re-sellers accounts where you can manage multiple sites and your team of admins. These types accounts allow you to use a professional interface for creating & managing multiple accounts. What you're looking for here is an online mobile service that offers a "white label" solution so you can brand it as your own service.
    2. I use a few professional developers I contracted on Elance. I am moving more in this direction, but these developers are primarily for my client accounts that generate over $500 a month for mobile and have very extensive mobile sites. Most of these clients buy into a larger package for web sites, mobile sites, social management, branding, SEO, etc. If you can find clients willing to spend $500 a month on mobile, then you should be able to get $2k a month, or more, for a general contract package for managing their online interests.

If you are just getting started out, I recommend going with a white label service. Once you build up a client list, and as you grow your higher end client base, then I recommend getting a development team together to produce mobile sites. You can use many of the same developers for the other areas of your clients needs.

The easiest and best way is to find people whose sites are already on Wordpress, and install a premium mobile plugin from a place like Theme Forest, which will take their content and without interrupting their normal theme will create a great look on mobile devices. Then there is also the free WP Touch plugin, but it is not awesome, just pretty decent (and free).
