    So this is your script? I have a video & sample script package for this, specifically for IT people to use (link in the sig).

    "No strings attached" freaks people out, because they immediately think "don't think about pink elephants."

    "teh manager" will probably brush you off, honestly.

    First you need to find out if they have a website already. They may be willing to let you design a new one, but you'll have to uncover the reason why.

    If they don't have a website, then you should ask them why they don't already have one. The answer will tell you whether this person is open to marketing via the Web or not. If not, why would you want to chase them.

    Then you can ask, if they just haven't gotten around to it, or their cousin said they would make one but never did, whether they'd be interested in having someone make one for them who knows what they are doing.

      cheers - I did get brushed off before -

      i called this cycle shop - about my front tire also to - prospect and see if the he was a decent guy - he seemed nice enough - and the following afternoon -

      i said can i speak to teh manager and he didnt let me finish my sentence ha - so that was noob of me - but thats the only way to learn to see what works

      what do you think instead of no strings attached - something

      yeh i read about that - find a fault and show a remedy - seems fair - im gonna throw in a free mobile site too - theyer v easy to make

    When I was first introduced to cold calling years ago we had a 5 step structure that I would like to share with that with you, if thats ok.

    1. Intro - Hi my name is....
    2. Short story... the reason why I am calling is...
    3. Presentation... tell them what u are offering and how it will benefit them. e.g save money, increase sales, etc... but qualify them first by asking questions, do they have a website, is he/she the decision maker, bill payer etc...
    4. Close - arrange for a call back and/or make an appointment to meet them.
    5. REHASH (Remember Everyone Has Another Sale Hidden)

    Practice practice practice... mistakes will happen but you'll get over it!

    Use words that are going to grab the customers interest. Avoid words that Could potentially scare them away.
