PPC Rent A Site Model

I've heard talk here of rent a site models which use Google Places.

How about PPC? Which I believe has more long term potential than trying to hijack Google Places traffic.

How about creating 5 or so sites, each with excellent, tested copywriting, for highly profitable services, such as Boston laser hair removal, Boston teeth whitening, etc. Get business customers by getting them a couple of leads for free and you'll have no problem getting them to commit to paying for your leads later on.

Each site would have excellent copy and the only thing you'd have to change on the site are the about us, contact us, section, and perhaps some pictures.

What you're suggesting is similar to lead generation. There are some people here on Warrior Forum who do this for living. Most of them set up "generic" squeeze pages and sell the leads to their customers.

You could set up a "company oriented" site too. It would create an immediate name recognition for your customer, but I am not sure, if "site rental" would be the way to go... After all, the only traffic coming to that site would be from PPC campaigns, so charging per lead would make more sense.

Yes, my idea is lead generation. However, I believe that renting a site out would result in high conversions because people trust a site more when they are dealing with an actual business with an about me, contact section, pictures, etc. At the same time, getting leads through a generic page would result in a lot less headaches and maybe less conversion through PPC, though I have yet to test that theory.
