More Linkedin Tips For More Clients

If you've followed my previous linkedin posts you'll know to be using linkedin groups and linkedin answers to connect with potential clients. If you are regularly participating in groups and answers you'll get a number of requests to connect. Now when they ask to connect I do so but I also send a personal message of thanks for the connect and check out their business. I usually add at least one good comment in relation to their business. Like that's a great website you/your company has. Wow that sounds like an exciting job you do. What this does is 'warm up' the connection and has often got me into chatting back and forth...which can lead to them asking if you can help them/their business.

I think another key is being focused on what you want to offer. I personally do not use groups at this time; but am having good success contacting business owners directly. When I contact them I am starting my initial conversation with them about something in their best interest. A very easy strategy is to allow them to guest blog on your site, saying that you are looking for content and looking to give the business owner more publicity. Optimize their article for local search and you will then have proof of what you can do.

      Charles,
Definitely offering anything of value for free is always a good way to start a business relationship. If it works well they'll definitely feel they owe you something in return like your product or service.

This is really great advice. There are so many people out there automating the crap out of this process that they miss out on the real person that is asking to connect.

Don't forget to work on your profile and make your own group. Making your profile found is much much important. When you get to create your own group and get members of the same interests, goals, and dreams, you can communicate with them as often as you want as long as you can handle them. More clients await. We should miss the click.

      Good advice Rich!

I noticed you posted a free video to a large group explaining how the could get 70% more business or something to that effect.

I also noticed it blew up with a massive number of people wanting to get in touch with you about it.

Could you tell us a bit about that at all? What was the outcome, did you sign quite a few new clients from that?

      Cheers
