Screen Capture Question, Do I really need Camtasia??

Hello Warriors,
was hoping someone could help me out here.

I want to do a screencapture video of a clients site and show them how it looks using a mobile device. I will be using Jing Pro and Offermobi. I really do not want to have myself on webcam except of course audio, but I would really like to put an image ( photo) of myself in the bottom of the screen where a webcam would normally show. I would like client to at least see who is talking to them...

Does any body know how I could achieve this???

Thanks All,

Have the best day,
Karen.

I've never used Jing Pro but I have used Camtasia. Using the OfferMobi Preview tool and Camtasia, you should be able to accomplish what you want done. While you're recording video of their website, you can speak into your microphone and Camtasia will record your voice. Then you would add your image to the timeline anywhere you want in the video. You could use the picture in picture effect for that.

If you have Windows operating system, go to Start, then to Accessories. There is something called a "snipping tool". With that tool, you can snip anything you want and insert in your presentation. Camstudio is free, Camtasia is not. For a slide show type of presentation you can use Windows Movie Maker, free or Photo Story, also from Microsoft and free.

And if you have Powerpoint (not free) you can insert animation, sound, music, videos and what have you.

      Good luck, Eva

Thank you, this forum is all about sharing, lol.

Correction; Photo Storyfrom Microsoft is actually called Photo Story 3. If you google "papa John, photo story" you can learn a lot. There are also forums dedicated to it. If you have Windows XP or older, you should not have a problem installing it. With Windows 7, try to find an old version of Photo Story. Forgot how I did it but Papa John has an answer somewhere.

Go to Youtube to find lots of tutorials about everything mentioned in this thread.

Camtasia's audio noise reduction tools are worth every penny. Your voice will sound fantastic with it. The trial is free for 30 days and is fully functional so I would use it.

I have used Camtasia and found it to be a great product for screen and video editing, Jing pro is an excellent product too, there are several free products also out there, it is easy these days to google search alternatives.

Hypercam and Camstudio are the best free alternatives that I've come across.

I have tried quite a few.

While Camstudio is free, I think that the quality is not perfect. So even though Camtasia is costly, I would still recommend it.

Especially that you could use the free trial. That's what I did in the beginning.

My Screen Recorder is one of the best screen recording tools. Records your screen and audio from the speakers or your voice from the microphone - or both simultaneously. It's easy to use, and the recordings are crystal clear. Perfect for demos, and it is inexpensive -

Your putting so much time on just a small step but if you think you would feel comfortable in front of client this way keep doing it.
