Google Places Optimisation Help?

All right for some my description is different to the one I posted so when you search for sunshine coast solar and go to eclipse solar you get a bad description that the business owner did previously.

I have edited it the optimised description I wanted but nothing seems to be happening, Are there any other ways?

Is it scraping the description from the website? I had a similar problem with one of my clients listings and I eventually had to delete and recreate it. You won't have much luck contacting Google with the problem anyway!! They're a nightmare when it comes to support for GP listings. Send me a link and I'll have a better look at it for ya if you like.

    • No, here's what's happening.

Joel Hedley the head of Google Places told me a couple months ago that description edits
are going through an additional filter so it takes 6 - 10 weeks for description changes to go through.
I blogged about it way back then.

      Sucks I know.

You can post an update on the Place page in the meantime to add some of the good content
from your new description if you like.
