Hello Fellow Warriors

I am looking for some help. I help offline business with facebook fanpages. I am just getting going. I am looking for some help. I am looking for 10, 15, or 25 tips to grow a fan page in a local area. So if i have a business in Cinncinnatia Ohio, we dont want fans on our page in Seatle Washinton for example. It is not that we dont want them, however they arent going to buy in seatle, if its a restaurant.

Please post anything that will help me, and if you have seen a wso, please share link

    There are many WSO about this, I would go to warrior plus and search facebook marketing;

    however here are just a few tips;
    Build a custom page or outsource this.
    Create a offer for the new fans to like your page.
    Run promotions on your facebook page for the local business and engourage your fans to share the offer with their friends.
    You can also run campagins on facebook for the local area.

    You can have people advertise the fan page. Have people "Like" it and even share the news that are located in the fan page to your own personal Facebook account. It's a start to getting the word out

  • Createna fan page and then create an ad. Get a $50 Facebook Voucher for like $5 on fiverr.com and use those $50 to get likes from that city only. Facebook ads let you target by city, and make sure you only target about 15,000 people in that city and don't do pay per click, do pay per 1000 and you will see you will pay cheap for tons of likes to your page that are targeted.

      Have a photo contest or caption contest. A photo or caption with more likes will win but you have to put in your criteria that whoever likes the photo or caption should like first the page. I already join this kind of contest in facebook and it's fun.

    Here are my top 5 for the restaurant industry.

    1. Have a "Like" our Fan Page special (could be a QR code) in the store and people get real time deals by liking the page. Who needs Groupon?
    2. Interact as the Page of the client and comment and engage on other very high traffic Fan Pages.
    3. Create a fun Fan Page, Like....365 Things to do in Cincinnati. That page will grow much faster and you would be in control of postings. You can also use that for future clients
    4. Connect with other businesses and in area and cross promote on each others Fan Pages. You never want to have every post about your own business.
    5. Have each of the employees create a separate personal page, for example, Claudine at Fluxx (thats a real personal profile), have them add friends and require them to check in and promote page.

    Those are my top 5, would have to charge you for the other 15 ideas including top FB Ad strategy...haha...Goodluck !!

      This is the best advice. People generally only like a a FB page if it belongs to some celeberity, otherwise you need to offer a really good incentive like a coupon or whatever to get people to like your business

    Most local chambers of commerce offer email blasts to members, also would check into any local associations,clubs and churches that send information to their members.

      I agree. Even if they aren't your targeted prospects, it will certainly advertise that your company exists if they just like your page and even share the contents that were posted.

    Maybe you just do some contest and those give away only available for Cinncinnatia Ohio citizen to claim it .
    You can't stop Seatle Washinton coming in . They may not your customer but they may help your business go viral by sharing your post. With numbers of your fans will increase trust of your fans that your restaurant is really famous and your foods must be nice .

    Make their customers feel like celebrities. Set up a red carpet and a photo paparazzi restaurant logo background at the restaurant. Customers can get their photo taken, tell them they can get their photo on the restaurant page. Instant LIKE, plus they'll share their photo and comment on it. Boom. Just hire an amateur photographer, buy a red carpet and a big paper restaurant logo background on a portable setup screen from fastsigns. Charge the restaurant for it, add a lil profit for yourself for the event.

    You could also have an amateur film crew do customer interviews at tables and post their video on the FB page. what customer isn't going to sign up and share that? Again, charge the restaurant for the event.

    Train staff to have customers sign up, and have them wear QR code buttons for patrons to scan. Fun waitresses can say scan my boobs (QR button). what guy won't do that? Sell them drink coasters w/ QR codes printed on them that can take the customer to a coupon on the FB fan page etc...

    Customers sitting at tables waiting 10-20 min for food w/ nothing to do.....gold mines for advertising and capturing attention. coasters, table tents, etc....
