Hey guys

I ran a post a few months ago where I documented a complete challenge of getting 50 people to a seminar. I didn't get the 50 people, but I did keep updating the post so that people could follow along. A lot of people thought this was REALLY VALUABLE!!

So ...

NEW CHALLENGE FOR 2012


I beleive there is HUGE VALUE in documenting a sales process. Warts and all. So I am up for a new challenge and I am asking for suggestions. Could be a "cold calling challenge", could be a "direct marketing challenge".

What are some of the ways you've wanted to test out but you don't have the time or resources??

Hope this makes sense, I am putting myself up as a bit of a guinney pig here. But I also have the underlying conviction that most strategies work.. you just have to work them!!

    Well, Since I just read this thread -

    Make 100 cold calls/hour - no pitch, just "Hey, would you like his service"

    (I'll even help you fulfill the service )

    And see if you get those sort of conversions!

    Hey there Chris,

    Here is one idea, if you do not have a business outline already. I see several WSO business plans on the warrior forum and note that several people buy multiples ones looking for one that will fit them.

    Find one that seems interesting to you and test it out live for everyone. You may even try several this year; reporting your results each time on a thread.

    With this you can provide two services. One, to those wondering if a certain step by step business plan works, and two, you are providing free traffic to the writer of the WSO.

    Chris you may even want to cut a deal with that person to receive a portion of any sales while you are working their system and reporting on it.

    You seem to have some followers when you did it last time. Maybe this could increase your following in those who bought the WSO’s already and have done nothing with them. All kinds of possibilities, and ideas that could stem from this it seems.

    Chris, what I would like to see is an email challenge. I'd like to see you manually email different businesses and see what your averages are. Many people like to avoid cold calling and just resort to emailing, thinking it will work. Would be nice to see your results.

    To go further... I would like to see you email 500 potential clients.. and call 500 potential clients, and see which one will win!

      ooohh I love this! lol This one gets my vote It's great for the cold calling haters too :p

      This way we can see which one gets results faster..we may be surprised!

        Looking forward to seeing what you do.

        I think we all know cold calling vs emailing and cold calling wins hands down.

        The only problem with cold calling is getting a hold of the decision maker which can take multiple calls.

          I like the idea of the "hi i'm from blah blah, would you be interested in blah blah" as a phone script for a service (which service though?)

          or, i'd like to see an expansion of iAmNameLess' idea, but it'd take a bit of doing. I'd like to see a decent number attempt at various contact methods. e.g. (just throwing these numbers out).....1000 emails, 1000 phone calls, 1000 post cards direct mail, whatever. even a radio or classified ad if you want!
          possibly even equalising it in some way....making it equal in cost or somesuch. (i.e. allocating the same budget to each marketing activity, use it sensibly and see where it goes). example: direct mail, classifieds and radio have obvious costs. email, well you'd spend the budget on buying supposed quality lists. cold calling - i guess you'd choose between spending it on lists or spending it on an hourly rate to get someone to do it.

    Mr. Green, I totally dig your hustle.

    I'd totally like to see someone document their email, phone call -Ballz to the wall dedicated followup campaign.

    I'd like to see someone interviewing local businesses/getting shot down or getting yeses as they happen.

    I believe this would make excellent marketing fodder for not only your clients but your future marketing promotions as well.
