Is This Something People Would Pay For?

Hello,

I was wandering if this is something people would pay for as in a class rather than online where people can get to ask questions watch others as well as have someone stand over them to teach to be taught right from scratch on how to get online, just to name a few of what I would teach from:

Domain name registration,
web-hosting,
uploading, ftp etc
installing Wordpress,
Basics of How to use Wordpress including how to install themes and plugins.

How to get opt-in forms on a blog or website
Auto-responders, how to set up email series, create broadcasts, newsletters .... etc ...

I've thought about experimenting with this by teaching one person for free to see if I can do it. What would something like this be worth? In terms of money and value. I mean would people pay to learn this off line 1 to 1 or in a small focused class?

    I think you may have more luck using something like Webex and doing it online. Let's people do in off hours and may feel less intimidated. Otherwise you probably should have an angle, like learn Wordpress, and then the other stuff would come with it. For people that want to start blogs and don't know how may be interesting.

      cool, yeah i was just searching around and finding out from people whether they liked the idea of being taught in class or online and it seems that more people, understandably, go with the convenience of learning online, I mean I do too but i thought there might be a little market there for people that love people interaction.

        Would people pay ?? That, as usual, would depend on price and convenience.
        As a newbie, referring to Youtube tutorials has become natural to me when I'm stuck.

        Many IM wannabees (like me) plunge into the IM world with dreams/ideas but more often than not,
        without the corresponding computer 'skills' that more seasoned IMers consider as basic .. but let's get back to the subject.

        In any event, if you plan to charge a fee for the instruction, you must woo your 'students' with the benefits.

        e.g. In addition to what you mentioned above, Will you teach your students how to :

        1) Know their way around (create, customize) WordPress websites from scratch.
        2) Use their WP skills to create, customize and maintain Facebook fanpages.
        3) Simple-ize the application of templates to produce mobile optimized websites.
        In other words, how to quickly utilize and monetize popular Fanpage and Mobile WSOs to earn money.
        4) Use hosting / server for storage of mobile and FB templates, graphics for easy access.
        5) Make a decision - buy additional domains or use sub domain / directory.
        6) Demystify filezilla, and unzipping files in general.

        Have you considered SKYPE as your medium ??
