Need some opinions...

I have a friend who owns a medical equipment business. He buys and sells, refurbished medical equipment (MRI's, X-Ray).

His site is a company website. 4 or 5 pages on info about the company, what he can do for his customers, contact info, etc. etc...

He is fairly successful. Just in conversation he asked me to look at what would be good keywords to rank for in google.

I ran some reports and did some research, etc...

Now, here is the thing, since it is a professional company website, (you know the kind, just pure company info) I am not sure dropping 500-700 word articles all over the site with his chosen keyword would be the best thing for this type of site.

How can I help him rank better for certain words without porking up his site? I don't want to turn his site into an affiliate site. How can I get him more traffic?

Article marketing? Bookmarking? what are some ways?

Well, what I would do is slightly different:

I hope your guy has a facebook page for his business - if not, he needs one - especially make sure that he has his website listed in his info.

Search google for "hospital medical equipment campaign facebook" - which will bring up a list of hospitals which already have internet-savvy folks aiming to raise funds for medical equipment.

Like their pages (especially if there is an active crowd on there) and take part in the discussions. Answer questions honestly and helpfully ....
