Hi to all,

was wondering what you consider the most responsive between a detailed letter direct mail, or a small postcard ?

Also if anyone has any resourses on the postcard method that is time and cost effective would be glad to hear.

Appriciate it.

Have the best day ever.:p

Direct mail is more of an ongoing campaign for a business.

Multiple mailings, same locations. A 1 time mailing sometimes works, but direct mail is all about the campaign.

Depending on your business, a letter or postcard will work. You need to experiment and see what happens. Each business is so unique, what works for one might not work for another.

Here in Canada, for direct mail, you can use the Postal service, which last time I checked, is .10c a mailing, unless you sign up for a business account guaranteeing a certain amount of mailings per year, than it comes down in price.

If your just looking to run an ad once, and see what happens, I would just go with the direct mail services that alot of local printers, or advertising companies provide.

In my town, I can send a 5.5x8.5 page to 60,000 homes for like $600 bucks. That is included with more businesses flyers though. Will be more expensive if you do your own card, but also probably a better rate of call backs.

Just get a designer here on the WF to make you a nice postcard or mailing, and send away, see what happens, track your results, and improve from there.
