Advice pls, best policy for Hosting Domains and Backups

I've been looking at the offer on WF for "unlimited cloud hosting and free SSL", and because its so cheap it worries me. You never get anything for nothing right.
I am tempted by the cheap unlimited hosting and free ssl certs. but concerned If the Hosting company went bust and Ive moved all my eggs into there basket. I'm questioning my hosting, backups and domain dns, I havent planned my hosting it has just grown with me, is now expensive and badly planned.
I have 2 ecommerce sites one WP with 3300, and Magento with 7000 products, a couple of small content based sites and 20 domain names. Host ecomm sites on Pickaweb UK, domains spread between Goddady and Pickaweb, content sites on Godaddy. I do not do any of site backups its all done automatically on the server.
What is the recommended safest way for the small buisness trying to earn a crust online?
I thought all my domains with Godaddy and change DNS
Host with Proud Host to take advantage of the savings ( they advertise 6 hourly backups but thats no good to me if the power is off)
Use another company for backups ?? time and cost implications
also whats your recommendation for email, do I set this up with Godaddy because the domains are there?
