How do you cut through all the "experts" on Linkedin?

I am trying to further my Linkedin marketing efforts by joining and contributing to groups. However, I have noticed that no matter which groups I join there are more marketing "experts" than people in said industry. How do you cut through the clutter and make contact with the people that you actually want to target?

Linkedin? Don't use it. Don't have time for it. And my relationship building efforts is pointed to our customers and their friends/family/connections/referrals - And we surely don't create these online - far from it, if you know what I mean. But I am sure some markets (and especially some people) have success using that technique, and they will share some tips. I just shared my best one: get close and personal with real people, build strong relationships, and live a smiley business existence.

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

I use LinkedIn as an online resume that I always send to business owners before I meet with them. I also attend local LinkedIn Parties/Mixers to get new clients. Also can connect with a business owner on LinkedIn and it provides me with a slight opening to set a meeting.
