Adding "Click To Call" buttons to web sites?

Anyone adding "Click To Call" buttons to websites?

This makes great sense to me...as a "Much-Needed" service to businesses with websites because consumers are IMPATIENT these days and rather than spend time Dialing a Phone Number to order or get more info...they just have to "Click a Button" and Whala....they're connected.

And...besides the Initial Set Up Fee....you could get paid for each Call.... or a Flat Monthly Fee for X phone calls.....by hooking up with Skype.

I'm looking for Software or a Java Script that can do this. Anyone know of any?

    I have just been working to get a click to call button on my site. I use Twilio as the backend so the calls are very cheap.

    If you go to | Mobile Marketing | Grand Rapids, MI you will see it on the bottom of any page. I'm working on getting it into the sidebar, but I think I will need to do some kind of pop up using jquery or javascript because the side bar is narrow and doesn't hold the iframe too well.

    For this type of click to call, the web visitor can call the business right from their browser. They do need a microphone and speakers or headphones obviously.

    For mine, I have it play a prerecorded mp3 first, kind of a "preselll" and then it will call me on my cell phone if the caller stays on and does not press the hangup icon. The nice thing about Twilio is that you can customize the call to do alot of different things. Its very cool, but haven't figured out pricing or anything for this yet.

    I just installed the "Skype Online Status" plugin to my wordpress last night. I haven't got a chance to play with it but in the end I hope it ends up doing that I need it to to. The live chat and/or call feature is what I'm looking for.
