260 Exact Searches: Dermathologist *CITY* - worth it?

Hi warriors,

Has any one of you ever done a website/SEO service for a dermatologist? I've got 260 exact searchers for a dermatologist CITY, and there's only one actual dermatologist competing, and he's not optimized at all, so he'll be pretty easy to knock down. + there are some pro-looking free wordpress themes that are just irresistable:>

Would you say this is something worth going for? How much is a lead worth to a dermatologist? Would he be willing to invest $200/month?

    For $200/mo and only 1 direct competitor, it's definitely worth your time to go after those 260 exact searches a month.

    Even landing only 2 or 3 actual clients a month would more than cover this Doctor's investment.

    so dermatologist city has 260?

    I usually look at every variation: dermatologist city, city dermatologist , dermatologist in city, city state-abbreviation dermatologist , dermatologist city state ... You may come up with hundreds more exact searches, you can say hey between these 4-6 keywords (whatever the case) there are 1200 searches, that is 1200 people looking for your services, but going with *name top 3 listings* , are they a better dermatologist than you?

      Don't worry, looked through them all, only "detmatologist city" gets a decent search volume. But as someone said before, he should be able to cover his investment with only 3 actual buys per month. Not to mention that if he's good, he's gonna keep his clients for life.

        It's even bigger than those figures suggest.....how about looking at the local searches alone for dermatologist....

        You can really blow away the competition with this one....build a site with 5 content pages or so and you'll easily beat the competition....especially if you complete a local seo package too!

    Are you trying to rent that site or sell leads? You said there is only ONE dermatologist on the first page? How many dermatologists do you have in that city?

      This is a city of 250,000 people, so I assume there are AT LEAST 20 private dermatologists in this city. Again, I have no clue about the exact number, but this is a rough estimation.

      And yes I was thinking about renting the site, and SEOing it for him to the #1, since the current #1 dermatologist hasn't got his site SEO'd, so he's easy to beat.

      I just don't know how much 260 exact searches is worth to him.

    Why not charge more? I would charge 600 or more. He would still make much more than what you're charging plus he's a dermatologist, he can afford it.

    Well, it's not that simple. You have to look at the financial situation of Croatia and the mindset of the people who have, so to say, just became friendly with the internet over the past few years. There's no trust yet...

    FYI - I have a dentist ranked #1 for a keyword with 210 exact match searches. He is getting at least 1 new patient per week from his website (which we custom developed for him with great call to actions). We are tracking all phone calls and web forms.

    For medical professionals a few new patients per month or even 1 new patient per month (depending on the medical niche) can be a great ROI for your client.
