That NameLess Guy's TOP 5 Predictions For 2012....

ARRGGH.. I have seen so many articles, emails and all these other Nostradamus type predictions for the last 4 days. My self control is seriously lacking, because every time I ignore one and push it off for later, I end up coming back and reading it anyway. I hate predictions... I hate prediction articles, but I feel some are so off that I need to make my own predictions.

5.) Mobile websites will become a necessity and business owners are going to understand that. The increase in searches done on mobile phones, tablets, ipads, etc., is going to be convincing enough for a lot of business owners. If you aren't offering mobile websites, its time for you to start doing so. Find someone you can outsource it to or a mobile website builder. This is an area I slacked off in last year, but this year its going to bring in a considerable amount of business. Prediction in a prediction... Business owners will realize the lack of ROI on QR codes.

4.) Social Media Marketing is going to be an in demand service this year. Surprisingly, many businesses aren't putting it together. They know people are on facebook all day and their customers are on there! They don't know how to utilize it to their advantage. Facebook fanpage, and SMM is going to be an easy sell in my opinion. One area to watch out for, is to be careful when selling social media marketing. Some businesses do not benefit by it in the same way as others! Some areas can provide a better ROI than SMM.

3.) Video Marketing is going to become a necessity. Want to show your clients how to make changes on their website instead of spending an afternoon training them? Put up some instructional videos. Want to pick up on certain keywords and rank for video? This can be a great way to gain additional traffic, optimize the video pages to create a new traffic stream. Informational videos, greeting videos, even slideshows in videos are going to be a business increaser!

2.) Pay Per Click Management is going to be a huge service to offer this year. Business owners already know the power of google, it is in our every day language and conversation. Whether it is content network, search network, or mobile network, PPC is going to be something that businesses dump MORE MONEY INTO THIS YEAR!

ANNNNNDDDD THE NUMBER 1 PREDICTION ISSSSSS.............

1.) Gaining trust is going to be the most important thing for your business this year. With the amount of people who have been burned by web design and SEO guys, a lot of people are hesitant to doing business with us. To overcome this, you need to have great customer service and support. You need to take advantage of all the other methods of promoting your business to add legitimacy. Use icons and images that reflect TRUST! Not only is this something you need to do, but this is another service you can offer clients. Reputation management is going to be another huge service to offer in 2012.

And that sums it up... let me know what you all think, and your predictions as well!

Seriously though, I agree with mobile , I have a whole new SMS/mobile component being launched %100 in the next couple of weeks. I have some beta testers right now.

I just started offering PPC management, and my first SEO/PPC "group package" has nearly doubled the income from 1 client, for 5% more work.

I always talk to potential clients about being burned in the past, these business owners are like red-headed step childs.

    Spot on sir, spot on.

I think QR codes are going to take off, as they are becoming more nad more prevalent.

I think Apps are the wave coming in behind SMS/mobile sites , Apps are what you want to be a part of now, and I got an idea for some cool ones that should change the game. When everyone catches up to mobile, I intend to be on Apps.

  • Mobile will be huge but I'm not sure if native apps will be the next big thing. HTML5 apps may take over...
