Quick question about ranking offline site

I have a question that I can't seem to figure out.

Lets say I have a local domain: newcitydentist.org

I want to rank for my main kw, "new city dentist" as well as other kw's that are related such as "new city children dentist" etc...

On my website I don't plan on putting any articles with my secondary kw's.

So the question is....How do I rank for kw's that will not be anywhere on the website?

Thanks!

In my experience if I rank well for one main keyword I rank decent for similar keywords... so say I rank very well for a keyword like "Miami vacuums" I would also in turn rank well for a similar kw like "Miami vacuums that are cheap"

I have tested, and had success, with coming in the back door.

For example, rank for "city dentist payment plan"
For my city, google showed 1 result. I would be on first page in days. There are no searches for it according to GAKT but it was the 2nd option on Google Suggest which means someone is searching for it.

After I ranked for this I would start backlinking for "city dentist payment" then after this, "city dentist"

Reverse engineer it. It has worked for me.

Never though of it that way, I will definitely try this method. I keep hearing the same theory so I assume it has some truth to it

Craig help me to understand better. If i have city+keyword1, city +keyword2 and so on I would first rank for keyword with least competition using backlinks for the keyword phrase and then continue up to my main keyword phrase.

Where I get lost is that if I have a simple 5 page site with home page, about, services, contact and privacy policy do I need to make sure each keyword is used somewhere on a page and build backlinks to page where the keyword is used?

Or do I simply make sure content is god and not spammy sounding and build backlinks for keywords and don't worry if some keywords are not actually used on the site?

You may have seen it during your research that some sites structure their title tag like

YourTown Childrens Dentist | YourTown Dentist Payment Plan | YourTown Dentist (70 characters max)

          Description tag could be

We are a popular YourTown dentist surgery specialising in childrens dentistry and we provide affordable payment plans. (150 characters max)

Your one page could contain a paragraph about the surgery then list bullet points of benefits. What pleasure the patient will move closer too or what pain they will move away from.

It would be simple to weave those keywords into bullet points.
Have a contact form smack bang in front of them and have the phone number prominent in 3 places. Have multiple calls to action.

If you use spinning in your articles for backlinks do it in a 60%|30%|10% ratio

          {YourTown Dentist Payment Plan|YourTown Childrens Dentist|YourTown Dentist Payment Plan|YourTown Dentist|YourTown Dentist Payment Plan|YourTown Childrens Dentist|YourTown Dentist Payment Plan}

In the above example, yourtown dentist payment plan would be simple so I would put 60% of backlinks to that term, 30% backlinks to the childrens term and 10% to the harder one.
Over time, mix up the order and you should/could rank for all 3 terms

I have done it many times
