I am not planning on spamming, ever.......

But I am just wondering -- those who do offline prospecting via email -------- how do they send the email ?

How much email can come out from a host per day without setting off a flag?

How much is allowed?

For bulk does one use a private SMPT server or what?

They have a list of the concerned person and automated software which helps to send the newsletter to the customers in one go.If the content of the newsletter is not good the mail goes in spam. Its not not effective technique these days .

It all depends on volume I believe - a simple internet search will put you in the right direction. There are multiple different softwares available that handle this type of "spamming", many that scrape websites and fill out contact forms automatically etc. its not a good way of going about business I must add.

Multiple hosts, following rules to avoid SPAM filters is generally the way its done.

You can send unsolicited emails to any business as long as you make clear the commercial intent of the email in the subject and include a opt out link in the email.

As per how many emails per hour your host allows, you'll need to check with them. I know Host Gator doesn't allow more then 500 per hour.
